INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Green Bay swimming & diving finished the Horizon League Championships on Saturday night, with both teams taking sixth place. Oakland swept the 2026 #HLSD Championships with wins in both genders.
The highlight of the day was a runner-up finish from
Ella Schultz in the 200 breast. She touched the wall just over a second behind YSU's Hannah Murray, in 2:18.76.
Zoe Chalfant raced in the Consolation Final, placing tenth with a 2:22.99.
Gemma Fibla Miralles started off the night session for the Phoenix with a seventh-place finish in the 1650 free, coming in with a finals time of 17:22.05.
Mackenzie Barnett finished ninth with a time of 17:25.60. On the men's side,
Stefan Tica set a school record and finished fourth with a time of 15:29.26.
The GB women had a trio in the Consolation Final of the 200 back, with
Mia Pagel finishing 13th (2:04.6),
Sydney Vega coming in 15th (2:06.01), and Sam Pepevnik coming in 16th (2:07.24).
Chris Aristondo and
Zacha King did the same on the men's side, coming in 12th (1:49.86) and 16th (1:51.1), respectively.
McKenna Metropulos competed in the Consolation Final of the 100 free, finishing 12th with a time of 52.35.
Kaleb Lombard lined up in the Consolation Final of the 200 fly, finishing 16th with a time of 1:52.21.
