HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – It all comes down to this. The Green Bay men's and women's golf teams are in the Sunshine State for the 2022-23 Horizon League Golf Championships, with the tournament scheduled from Sunday, April 23, to Tuesday, April 25 at Mission Inn Resort & Club. For men's live stats, click here, and to follow the women, view live stats here.
Last year, the men finished in eighth place as Austin Schnell led the way, completing the tournament 12 over par. He was solid on the final 18 en route to a tie for 27th individually. Wright State represented the team winner last year, and the Raiders' Mikkel Mathiesen was the individual winner.
The women claimed second place in 2022, but the team score (925, +49) would have been good enough to win the title in eight of the previous nine years. GB has been sharp this spring, highlighted by two first-place finishes at the NKU Invitational and Indiana State Spring Invite. Oakland was the overall winner in 2022, and the Golden Grizzlies' Amalia Shahzan was the individual winner.
The first men's pairing will hit the teebox at 6:30 a.m. CST, while the women will get going at 7 a.m. CST. Here is how both sides are seeded heading into tomorrow:
