GREEN BAY, Wis. - Green Bay Athletics and Portesi Pizza (Stevens Point, Wis.) are proud to announce a unique partnership today. Working in conjunction with UWGB licensing company CLC, this agreement will allow Portesi Pizza to brand select Frozen Pizzas and Cheese Fries with the Green Bay Phoenix logo and serve as the 'Official Frozen Pizza of the Green Bay Phoenix'. A portion of each sale will go directly to Green Bay Athletics.

"We are very excited to partner with Portesi Pizza on this official launch. This is a win-win for the region – great tasting frozen pizza products from a great Wisconsin family owned company, and the ability to positively impact the Phoenix with each pizza sold", said Josh Moon, Green Bay Athletic Director.

"This is another avenue for us to expand our customer base while also helping support Green Bay Athletics" said Dick Thompson, President of Portesi Pizza. "Portesi Pizza has been around since the 1950's and share many of the same business and customer service values as Green Bay Athletics".

To purchase these products, visit any of the four Festival Foods locations in the surrounding Green Bay area as well as Neenah, Menasha, and Sheboygan. The Phoenix frozen pizzas will also be available for purchase at Woodman's Food Market locations in Green Bay and Appleton starting in the middle of May.

ABOUT PORTESI PIZZA:
The 'Oven Fresh' Original Style pizza is the same pizza and SECRET RECIPE that was made in the 1950's when George Portesi had his own restaurant. The fresh yeast-dough crust is rolled out, topped off by hand and then partially baked in a 600-degree oven to seal in the oven fresh flavor. You can see the melted cheese and the traditional crust around the outside of this pizza. The original style is the first product we came out with, and the product that separated Portesi from others frozen pizzas. By pre-baking the pizza, we are able to seal in flavors that are often lost in the packaging and freezing process.
