Game Preview: Phoenix Welcomes Parkside to Titletown

Five things to know before the Phoenix and Rangers tip off

GREEN BAY, Wis. - The last non-conference regular season game commences tomorrow afternoon for the Green Bay women's basketball as they welcome Parkside to the Kress Center.

It will mark be the program's first-ever Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Game, presented by Prevea Health. For more information, click here. Additionally, it is a Festival Foods Family Day, featuring an online-only ticket special and concession deals.

ABOUT THE RANGERS
Parkside has played well in the first part of the 2024-25 season. Head coach Jen Conely, in her seventh season as a collegiate HC (all with Parkside), has her squad sitting at 6-3 entering Saturday's contest. Green Bay is seeking to continue perfection against Parkside, boasting a 21-0 record against the Rangers. Tomorrow's contest marks the fourth consecutive meeting that will be held in Green Bay. Cassidy Arni paces Parkside at 14.7 points per game, while Sheridan Flauger leads the team in minutes (33.7), assists (4.3 APG), and steals (1.4 SPG). 1. ON THE DOCKET
Saturday's game marks the last non-conference regular season game of the 2024-25 campaign. The rest of the season is Horizon League action, beginning with a showdown against Northern Kentucky on January 2. Green Bay has a rematch of the 2024 Horizon League Championship Game against Cleveland State at the Kress Center on January 30.

2. THE GREAT GENKE
Callie Genke has had a phenomenal start to the 2024-25 campaign. No. 12 has been a remarkable 38-for-77 (49.4 percent) overall while drilling 26 of 53 three-point field goal attempts (49.1 percent). Genke is also 12-of-15 from the free-throw line (80 percent). Callie officially played her 100th career game against IU Indy on December 4. Genke is currently three 3-pointers away from 100.  She also ranks 11th in the country in three-point percentage (49.1 percent). Thursday's contest against Ripon College marked her 30th career start.

3. KONDRAKIEWICZ IS COOKIN'
Jasmine Kondrakiewicz is having a phenomenal 2024-25 campaign so far. She leads the team in rebounds, steals and blocks. Kondrakiewicz has grabbed 95 rebounds, which ranks 75th in the nation. 'Jas' is just 43 points from 1,000 in her career, two blocks from 100 career, and 10 steals from 100 career. Her seven steals against Ripon College on Thursday were a career-high, while also recording her seventh career double-double against Ripon (14 pts., 13 rebs.).

4. THERE GOES GUYER!
Center/forward Jenna Guyer helped the Phoenix down the stretch last season and is off to a strong start this season. The CIrcle Pines, Minnesota native has scored at least six points in nine  of the first 13 contests, including at least seven points on eight occasions. Guyer grabbed a career-high seven rebounds on December 4 against IU Indy. She is 15 steals from 50 in her career and 35 assists away from reaching 100 in her career.

5. MIDDY McNEAL
Natalie McNeal has been reliable to begin her 2024-25 campaign. No. 11 returned to the starting lineup on December 11 at Milwaukee after missing the previous two games (vs. IU Indianapolis,at Purdue Fort Wayne). She has made 62 of 131 field goals so far (47.3 percent). McNeal has been one of Green Bay's best rebounders as well, averaging 5.0 per game, only trailing Jasmine Kondrakiewicz (7.3 RPG). McNeal scored her 1,000th career point on a fadeaway mid-range shot against Virginia on Thanksgiving Day.
