GREEN BAY, Wis. - Oshkosh native
Preston Ruedinger has been named the Under Armour Horizon League Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Ruedinger stepped up in a big way for the Green Bay Phoenix, leading the team to two road wins at Robert Morris and second place Youngstown State to maintain GB's first-place standing in the Horizon League. The Phoenix guard scored 16 points to go with four rebounds and two assists in GB's 81-76 overtime win at Robert Morris. He backed that performance up with an even more impressive, career-high, 26 point, five rebound, four assist outing at Youngstown State. Ruedinger led the team at YSU in a gritty win without Green Bay leading scorer
Noah Reynolds. The Phoenix guard averaged 21.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting 48.0 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent from three across the two games.
Green Bay is back at home this week, taking on Northern Kentucky on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Resch Center. To purchase your tickets to the game, click
