GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Green Bay men's basketball team fell behind early, and was unable to climb back into their Friday night contest against Purdue Fort Wayne.  The Mastodons took the contest by a score of 85-59.

Will Eames paced the Phoenix (17-11, 12-5 HL) with 19 points, a career-high in his time with GB. Clarence Cummings III added 13 points, while Elijah Jones chipped in with 12. Eames and Cummings also led Green Bay with seven rebounds each on the night.

Anthony Roberts dropped 31 points for the Mastodons, who improved to 18-10 overall and 9-8 in the Horizon League. Jalen Jackson tallied 17 points and Rasheed Bello tacked on another 16.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Purdue Fort Wayne come out hot to start the game, hitting five of their first seven shots to take a quick 11-2 lead in just four minutes. GB's defense struggled to slow down the Mastodons attack, as the visitors took a 47-23 lead into halftime while shooting 18-for-31 (58.06 percent) from the field.

The second half was back-and-forth, but the first half deficit proved to be too much to overcome. PFW slightly outscored GB 38-36 in the second half.

GAME NOTES
» PFW finished the game shooting 50.8 percent from the field and 37.0 percent from three while GB shot 35.0 percent and 25.9 percent.
» Green Bay's bench outscored PFW's 23-13.
» The visitors outscored Green Bay 44-28 in the paint.
» PFW won the rebound battle, 40-37.
