Men's and Women's Golf Closes Season with Stalwart Outings from Kotlowski and Kulka

Kulka earns All-Tournament Team honor; Meade, Dunk finish just outside top-10

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Zak Kulka headlined a strong final day for the Green Bay men's and women's golf teams at the Horizon League Championships.

Kulka climbed into the top five at the very end of the tournament, earning him a spot on the All-Tournament Team. He scored a 72 (E) in the first and third rounds, sandwiching a 74 (+2) during Saturday's second round.

"It was a great past three days, I really enjoyed being able to go out there and compete with my teammates one final time," Kulka said. "So thankful for Coach Reinke, my teammates, and this program. It has meant a lot to me being a part of it!".

"Super excited for Zak," Director of Men's and Women's Golf, Lee Reinke, said. "He's played great for the last month, and he's deserving of it. I want to thank Zak and our other seniors, Joe Forsting, and Grace Welch for all that they have done for the program."

Trent Meyer finished 18 over par, good for a tie in 41st place. He tallied a 78 (+6) in the opening round, 79 (+7) in the second round, and a 77 (+5) in the final round.

All five members of the women's squad placed inside the top twenty. The Green and White notched the second-lowest team score during the final round, only behind Oakland, who won the tournament. Caylie Kotlowski led the charge with a 237 (+18), claiming a tie for eighth overall. She recorded a 77 (+4) in the final round. Lexi Meade and Hannah Dunk were just a few strokes back, placing in a tie for 11th by scoring a 241 (+22). After scoring an 82 in the first round and an 84 in round two, Dunk roared back to tally a 75 (+2) in the third round. Riley Pechinski took 19th overall, and Ellie Frisch placed in a tie for 20th.

"Excited about the third-place finish," said Reinke. "After winning it last season, I'm happy with where we finished."

Both golf teams will return to the links in the fall. Final team standings for the men and women are below.
