MUNCIE, Ind. – The Green Bay women's golf team wrapped up with a T5 finish at the Brittany Kelly Classic at the Players Club at Woodland Trails yesterday. The Phoenix tied for fifth with Ashland at +46. Ball State won the event with a -6.
"Our T5 finish out of 14 teams continues an amazing start to the year through two tournaments, especially with half of our roster just getting started in collegiate golf," said head coach
Lee Reinke. "It's a great group of young ladies and I'm very proud of how we've started!"
On the weekend, the Phoenix was led by
Riley Pechinski, who finished second individually with a -1 and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Pechinski was on fire in the first two rounds, shooting a 68 (-4) and 69 (-3), respectively. Ball State's Taylor Larkins won the event with a -2.
Avary Johnson,
Jordan Shipshock and
Hannah Goodman rounded out the Phoenix top four. Johnson finished T15 at +8, while Goodman shot a +19 for a T44 finish, and Shipshock at +20 for a T49 finish.
As a team, Green Bay shot +17 in round one, +7 in round two, and +22 in round three.

Green Bay will have a weekend off before competing at the NKU Fall Invitational at Belterra Golf Club in Florence, Ind.
