KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Green Bay Volleyball Assistant Coach Shannon Coughlin has accepted the Coaches 4 Coaches Scholarship and will be attending the American Volleyball Coaches Association in Kansas City, Missouri, from December 17-21.
 
Coughlin is one of 16 recipients, joining an extensive fellowship of more than 190 program alumni. "I am super grateful to be accepting this Coaches 4 Coaches scholarship to attend my first AVCA Convention this year." Coughlin stated, "I am excited to soak up everything this experience has to offer, have my cup filled from the volleyball community, and bring back fresh ideas to share with Green Bay."
 
"It is exciting for us to be bringing even more coaches and future coaches to Kansas City next month," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "We are very appreciative to everyone in the volleyball community who has contributed to the scholarship programs and made it possible for a record number of recipients to join us at the 2025 Convention."
 
During the event, the scholarship winners will participate in a series of educational seminars, many of which focus on professional and personal development for coaches, and take part in additional networking and relationship-building sessions.
 
 "Shannon's story is one that perfectly reflects the mission of the AVCA: developing leaders who elevate our sport," said head coach Abbey Sutherland. "Shannon played five years at Green Bay and was a cornerstone of our program. She didn't just compete at a high level—she defined our culture. Her leadership, character, and ability to model our standards set the tone for what Green Bay Volleyball is today."
