HOW IT HAPPENED
After falling behind 10-5, Green Bay went on a 7-0 run with 4:50 left in the first quarter, culminating in a bucket from Schultz, to take a 12-10 lead. The Phoenix added one point to that lead by the end of the period and entered the quarter break with a 16-13 advantage.

The Phoenix could not maintain its lead in the second quarter and entered halftime trailing the Vikings 32-26. Cleveland State outscored the Phoenix 19-10 in the frame.

Green Bay came out of halftime on fire, going on an 11-0 run, with three immediate three pointers from Guyer on three Skorupski assists, which was punctuated by a basket from Peppler, to grab a 37-32 lead with 8:09 to go in the third. Before the conclusion of the third period, the Vikings retook the lead, but Skorupski hit a last-second shot to recapture it for GB, entering the fourth quarter with a 43-42 edge.

Cleveland State proceeded to take a 52-50 lead before Green Bay went on a 6-0 run to seize a 56-52 lead with just 39 seconds to go in the contest. The Vikings narrowed the margin before the game was over, even having a chance to take the lead in the closing seconds, but Izabella Zingaro missed both of her free throws, and the Phoenix held on for the 58-55 win.
