HOW IT HAPPENED
After jumping out to a 15-7 advantage, Green Bay continued on a 6-0 run with 2:25 left in the first quarter, highlighted by a returning Maren Westin, who grabbed a defensive rebound and brought the ball full court for a layup to score her first points since Dec. 11. 2024. The next possession, Westin plucked a steal, which turned into a layup for Gracie Grzesk, to increase the lead to 21-7. The Phoenix then lost some of that lead but still entered the quarter break with a 21-9 advantage.

Green Bay kept its first-quarter lead intact before going on a 14-0 run starting at the 8:22 mark in the second period, highlighted by a bucket from Maren Westin to increase its lead to 35-11. The Golden Grizzlies cut into that lead, but the Phoenix still enjoyed a 41-25 advantage heading into halftime. Green Bay forced five Oakland turnovers in the period and turned them into seven points.
