GREEN BAY, Wis. - Green Bay Athletics, Schreiber Foods, and the UW-Green Bay Campus Cupboard are proud to announce a two-year partnership to help address food insecurity on the UW-Green Bay campus.
Â
Through the partnership, Schreiber Foods will donate $1 to the UW-Green Bay Campus Cupboard for every point scored by the Green Bay men's and women's basketball teams at all home games during
the 2026–27 and 2027–28 seasons.
Â
In addition, during each year of the two-year partnership, Green Bay Athletics will join forces with Schreiber to host
two food drives to collect food and other essential items in support of the UW-Green Bay Campus Cupboard.
Â
"This partnership really helps shine a light on the challenges Green Bay students, faculty, and staff face when it comes to food insecurity," said Adam Novotny, Student Engagement Assistant Director.
Â
"Partnerships like this are what community impact is all about," said Heather Milbach, Community Relations Manager for Schreiber Foods. "We're proud to partner with Green Bay Athletics and the Campus Cupboard to help address food insecurity. When organizations come together around a shared purpose, we can make a meaningful difference for the community."
"This partnership really helps foster a collaborative effort among Schreiber Foods, the Campus Cupboard and Green Bay Athletics, and we're excited to see what we can accomplish together over the next two years," said
Jay Finnerty, Sr. Associate Athletic Director.
Â
Following each home basketball game, Green Bay Athletics will post a graphic highlighting the number of points scored and the
total amount raised through the Points for the Cupboard program. At the conclusion of each season, Schreiber Foods will donate the corresponding amount to the UW-Green Bay Campus Cupboard.
Â
The partnership will continue throughout the 2026–27 and 2027–28 basketball seasons, giving Green Bay basketball fans another reason to celebrate every point scored at home.
Â
The Food Drive Games are scheduled for January 7, when our Men's Basketball Team takes on Northern Kentucky, and January 31, when our Women's Basketball Team faces Northern Illinois. Both games will be held at the Kress Center. We hope to see you there to support our teams and help make a difference in our community!
