Green Bay, Wis. - Green Bay Cross Country hosted the Phoenix open on Saturday morning at the Phoenix Alumni Cross Country Course at Shorewood Park.  The men's team placed third as a team while the women placed fifth.

Men's Recap 
Noah Jahnke placed third with a 8k time of 24:49.9, just five seconds behind UW-Stevens Point's Mateo Alvarado Venegas who won the meet.  Mason Gates took fourth place with a time of 25:19.1. UW-Stevens Point won the meet with 32 points, followed by Marquette with 49.  Green Bay rounded out the top three with a score of 55. 

Women's Recap
The women's team placed fith with a score of 123, only two points behind both UW-Stevens Point and Marquette.  St. Thomas won the event with a score of 28.  The top Phoenix runners were sophomore Madison Lotten in 13th with a 6k time of 23:19.3 and sophomore Lyla Vlcek in 15th with a time of 23:25.6. 

COMING UP
Green Bay Cross Country has off next week and will return to the course on September 25th at the Lakeside Invite in Milwaukee, hosted by Marquette.
