Green Bay, Wis.  -  The Green Bay men and women took to the Phoenix Alumni Cross Country Course at Shorewood Park for their first meet of the season at the Tom Berry Invite, hosted by St. Norbert College.  Both the men's and women's teams placed first.  Noah Jahnke won the men's meet for the third straight season.

WOMEN'S RECAP
The women started the day by grabbing four of the top seven spots in the field, paced by freshman Norah Froslee, who finished second with a 5k time of 19:25.5.  Lyla Vlcek was eight seconds behind in third, and Madison Lotten trailed Green Bay's lead runner by 15 seconds, finishing fourth.  The Phoenix women won the meet with a score of just 30, followed by Ripon College in second with 40 points.  

MEN'S RECAP
For the fourth straight year, the Green Bay men started their season with a win at the Tom Berry Invite, and for the third straight year, Noah Jahnke placed first with a time of 18:34.6.  Green Bay finished with only 25 points, 23 ahead of second place MSOE.  The Phoenix finished with four runners in the top six and seven runners in the top 16.  For a second year in a row, Mason Gates finished runner up, with a time of 18:54.2.Ethan Onesti and Cameron Weiland also had top-ten finishes in fourth and sixth, respectively.  

COMING UP
The Phoenix will be back at home at the Phoenix Alumni Cross Country Course at Shorewood as they host the fifth annual Phoenix Open, starting at 11:30 a.m.
