- Green Bay (1-2-0)
outshot host Missouri State (1-2-0) 13-12 Friday night at Plaster Field, but
the Phoenix could not overcome an early Bears' goal, losing 1-0 loss in men's non-conference

Missouri State's Paul
Paradise found the back of the net from 10 yards out just one minute and 40
seconds into the game. The goal proved to be the game-winner as the lead held

Bay's David Bernhardsson (Tjorn, Sweden) had the team's first look at goal in the seventh minute,
but his header flew high over the crossbar. Senior Scott Raymonds (Brookfield, Wis.) took a chance in the 22nd minute, but his
shot was saved by Bears' keeper Alex Riggs.
The
Phoenix had two more looks at headers late in the first half, with the first
from freshman Sam Krenzien (Wauwatosa, Wis.) forcing another Riggs' save. Another from JC Banks (Milwaukee, Wis.) sailed high with just three seconds left in the period.

minutes.
The
visitors had six more looks at the net after halftime, including a Tony Walls' (Wauwatosa, Wis.) shot in the 60th minute that forced a save.
The Phoenix also had six corner kicks in the half and held an 11-3 edge in that
category for the game.
Banks
took a team-high three shots in the game while Raymonds and Walls fired two. Phoenix
keeper Ryan
Wehking (St. Louis, Mo.) was not forced
to make a save after halftime and stopped two shots in the game.
