BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Former Green Bay men's soccer star
and 2011 Horizon League Player of the Year, Tony Walls (Wauwatosa, Wis.), is
living the dream he has thought about every day since he was a kid, playing in
the MLS.
Walls was selected by the Chicago
Fire in the third round of the MLS supplemental draft as the 47th overall pick.
After an intense two-week training camp in Florida, Walls became the first
player in Phoenix history to sign a contract with a Major League Soccer
franchise, inking a one-year deal with the Fire.
With 26 players on the current
roster, Walls has yet to earn a spot on the game day 18-man roster but has been
playing a significant role during reserve games. Known as a midfielder during
his collegiate career with Green Bay, Walls is utilizing his skills at right
back.
Phoenix Flix recently made the trip
to see Walls' living his dream with the Chicago Fire and had a chance to catch
up with him and talk about his experience at the professional level. Click on
