GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) –Green Bay head men's soccer coach Dan Popik will host three camps for youth and high school players this summer, he announced this week. Two of the camps will be half-day camps for 6-13 year-olds, while the third is geared for high school boys players. Participants in any of the three camps will receive a free T-shirt.
Both of the half-day camps are open to boys and girls ages 6-13 and are held off-campus. Camps will be held from June 10-13 in Howard at the Akzo Noble Sports Complex, and Aug. 5-8 at the Broadview Soccer Complex in Allouez. Players are divided into groups based on age and ability where they learn to improve their skills, play fun and challenging games and scrimmage. All half-day camps are run by the Green Bay men's soccer staff as well as current and former student-athletes.
The College ID camp, held from July 19-21, is an opportunity for high school boys to showcase their soccer skills while training before the Green Bay men's soccer staff as well as other collegiate coaches from across the Midwest. Advanced tactics and physical training will be coached during this session, and the staff will also cover what it's like to be a collegiate soccer player. Tips on handling the recruiting process, player development and the demands and expectations of a collegiate student-athlete will all be covered. On-campus lodging and meals are included for all College ID camp attendees.
