GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's and women's cross country teams concluded their season this weekend at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Terre Haute, Indianapolis. Seniors
Kimberly Hurst,
Erin Schmitt,
Heather Plough,
Mitchell Bilitz, and
Erik Johnson each competed in their last races as Phoenix.
The women ran a 6k race, where Hurst was the top finisher, crossing the finish line at 23:04 to earn 139
th place. Junior
Alexandra Kershner was the next runner, clocking in at 24:32. Freshman Grecia Guzman and sophomore
Meta Ehlen packed together to finish together at 24:56 and 24:58, respectively. Schmitt was the last scorer, with a time of 25:18. Plough and junior Miranda Dreckschmidt rounded out the seven.
The men navigated a 10k for the first time this season, with Bilitz leading the way with a time of 33:37 to place 124
th. Johnson was not too far behind, finishing at 34:08 for 143
rd. Freshman Joshua Langteau crossed the finish line at 37:08 as the third Phoenix. Junior
Sam Engel clocked in at 37:37, freshman Adam Plough earned a time of 37:59, and junior
Jacob Fierst finished at 38:24 to round out the team.
