GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay softball team will get its 2018 campaign underway on Friday at the UNI Dome Classic in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The Phoenix will take the field against Northern Iowa, Drake, UMKC and South Dakota State during the three-day tournament which kicks off Friday at 5 p.m. CT against the host Panthers.
Green Bay's first game against Northern Iowa will be streamed live on ESPN3 and all games in the invitational will have live stats.
Under the direction of second-year head coach
Scott Wachholz, the Phoenix returns a number of key players and welcomes some talented newcomers for the 2018 season.
This weekend's tournament is the first of three for Green Bay this season as it will compete in the WKU Hilltopper Classic (Bowling Green, Ky.) and Jayhawk Invitational (Lawrence, Kan.) prior to beginning Horizon League play on March 23 at Wright State.
