GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Horizon League selected six Green Bay swimming and diving athletes to join the Academic All-League team this year, honoring them for their academic and athletic achievement during the 2018-19 season. To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.00 scale and have completed one full year at their institution, having earned 24 semester-hour credits.
Annika Engstrom,
Anna Liu, and
Rosalyn Stoa were named to the Women's All-Academic Team, while
Eli Broman,
Derrick Prenot, and
Charlie Warren were chosen for the Men's All-Academic Team. A total of 37 student-athletes were honored in balloting by the League's faculty athletics representatives, with Green Bay earning the second-most nominees. To see the full list of athletes that were honored, click

Broman is now a two-time academic all-league member, after being selected to the team last year. The chemistry major holds a grade-point-average of 3.866 as a multi-year Dean's List member. In the pool, the senior from Eagan, Minnesota concluded his collegiate career with a B final swim in the 200 butterfly, making it four-straight years that he had scored in the event.

Engstrom, from West Bend, Wisconsin, is a human biology major with a grade-point-average of 3.571. The senior earned 100% best times at the 2019 Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championships, standing in seventh on the podium in the 200 butterfly and also taking home points in the 400 IM for her fourth and final year in a row.

Liu joins the academic all-league team as only a sophomore after posting a 3.935 grade-point-average in chemistry. Not only did she excel in the classroom throughout the year, but the native of Des Moines, Iowa also was chosen as Horizon League Swimmer of the Week twice. At the championship meet, she finished second in both the 100 free and 50 freestyle and third in the 100 butterfly to collect the most points for the Phoenix on the women's side.

Prenot is another two-time academic all-league honoree as a human biology major with a grade-point-average of 3.767. The junior from Winona, Minnesota scored in the consolation finals of both the 1-meter and 3-meter board at the 2019 Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championships as one of the leaders of the Phoenix diving squad.

Stoa boasts a perfect 4.000 grade-point-average while double-majoring in psychology and business administration. The now two-time member of the academic all-league team and one-time Horizon League Swimmer of the Week this season stood on the podium in the 200 free at the 2019 Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championships, placing sixth. The senior hailing from Green Bay, Wisconsin also scored points in the 500 freestyle.

Warren, from Dubuque, Iowa, rounds out the honorees as a mechanical engineering major with a grade-point-average of 3.777. The school record-holder in the 200 backstroke completed his collegiate career by qualifying for finals in all of his events at the championship meet. The senior stood seventh on the podium in the 200 back, won the B final of the 100 back, and also scored in the 200 IM.
