GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay softball team (10-19, 5-7 HL) will host the Detroit Mercy Titans this weekend at Circle Tap. The three-game series will begin on Friday at 4 p.m. and continue with a doubleheader at 12 p.m. on Saturday. Green Bay currently sits in sixth in the Horizon League standings. The Titans come into the matchup with a 19-22 overall record and a 10-5 conference record which currently ranks third in the Horizon League.

What to Expect
Green Bay is led by the reliable pitching of
Kayla Schwebke in the circle, as the sophomore pitcher leads the team and ranks fifth in earned-run average with a 3.29. She has struck out 66 batters thus far and holds an 8-7 record on the season. On the offensive side, Green Bay has received consistent contributions from
Bailey Schultz. The junior has posted a .376 batting average that leads the team and ranks fourth in the Horizon league.
Green Bay recently stumbled in its series with Northern Kentucky, but swept IUPUI the last time it took the diamond at Circle Tap. Detroit is coming off a sweep in its doubleheader with Bowling Green on Tuesday.
