GREEN BAY'S LAST TIME OUT
The Phoenix bounced back nicely this past weekend, winning both games on Sunday against Evansville after losing a pair on Saturday to open its season. Becca Edwards was 5-for-10 with a pair of RBIs to lead the bats. Morgan Bihun connected on a grand slam on Sunday, her biggest hit of the weekend. Kayla Schwebke and Abby Freismuth earned victories in the circle. In 12 innings pitched for Schwebke, she had eight strikeouts and gave up 13 hits. Freismuth pitched three strong innings on Sunday and allowed just one earned run.GB won on Sunday 6-5 and 6-3, after not scoring on Saturday, adjusting after seeing its first live game action of the season.
 
SCOUTING CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs sit at an even 4-4 this year, and have played all eight games at home. Chattanooga had four games canceled this past weekend due to weather. Chattanooga rallied for a pair of victories on Thursday against Tennessee Tech (5-4, 6-5) after following to in-state foe UT Martin (10-7) on Wednesday. 

SCOUTING BUTLER
The Bulldogs sit at 4-6, but are coming off a 3-2 weekend at the Jaguar Classic in Mobile, Alabama. Butler took two games from Murray State and split with Lipscomb, while dropping its only game against South Alabama. The Bulldogs are hitting .225 this season with a 3.98 team ERA. Lauren Fey leads the Butler lineup, hitting .538 with 8 runs scored, two triples and a .731 slugging percentage. She has drawn 12 walks with seven steals. Butler was picked sixth in the BIG EAST. 
 
SEASON AHEAD
Green Bay will play 40 Horizon League games this season, its most-ever scheduled. The HL season starts next weekend with the Phoenix taking a trip down to face Northern Kentucky for four games. GB will play its home-opener on March 19-20 against Robert Morris. GB was picked last in the Horizon League, after not playing a single HL game last season due to COVID-19 shutting the season down. That makes for extra motiviation for GB in Sara Kubuske's second season.
