Cross Country Finishes Joe Piane Inviational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The first of two road invites for the Green Bay men's and women's cross country teams was completed this afternoon, with both squads posting solid performances.
 
GB participated in four races, two for each team.
 
WOMEN'S RECAP
Kelsey Radobicky led the women in the Women's Gold 5000m, finishing 57th out of 145. Radobicky, a sophomore, finished first for the Phoenix for a third consecutive race. She was the first to cross the finish line at the St. Norbert Invite and the Green Bay Phoenix Open. Alicia Kawa finished with a time of 19:06.3, good for 95th. Kyra Flesvig completed the race just outside the top 100 with a time of 19:23.4, good for 102nd place. She was within half a second of being in the top 100. Lyndsay Sass finished 110th with a time of 19:34.1.
 
In the women's open 5000m, Marissa Wackett finished 79th with a time of 20:54.9, while Megan Drzadinski was 84th with a time of 21:45.9.
 
MEN'S RECAP
Matthew Marcinske highlighted the men's side of the race, completing the Gold Five Mile race in 63rd out of 111 with a time of 25:51.0. Riley Siltman wasn't far behind, notching a time of 26:13.4, good for 74th. Other GB men who finished in the top 100 include Clay Taylor (88th place with a time of 26:47.8), Riley Volkman (89th place with a time of 26:51.6), and Hunter Krepline (92nd place with a time of 27:00.7).
  
COMING UP
The Phoenix has just one regular season invite left, which takes place Friday, October 14. Green Bay men's and women's cross country will participate in the Bradley Pink Classic, hosted by Bradley University.
