ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Another busy weekend is on tap for the Green Bay softball team as they head to the Lindenwood Invite in St. Charles, Mo.
Thursday afternoon, Lindenwood announced changes to the schedule for the weekend.
The Phoenix will battle Lindenwood and Western Illinois on Saturday before clashing against North Dakota in a doubleheader on Sunday.

FAST START FOR SALOUN
Junior Samantha Saloun has a team-leading .273 batting average and has started all 10 of GB's contests. She's notched the team's only home run against Southern Indiana on February 19. She has proven to be one of the Horizon League's best backstops, recording the 10th-best fielding percentage among all infielders in 2022 and the 17th-best batting average among all hitters last season.
ON THE SAME PAIGE
Sophomore Paige Hanson, one of eight freshmen and 10 newcomers this season, is off to a strong start in 2023. The Cottage Grove, Wis., native is hitting .269, second-best on the team, through 10 games. She is tied with Jadin Justman for the most hits (7). Hanson has tallied at least one base hit in five games.
DOUBLE B
A graduate of nearby Green Bay Preble High School, Brittany Baneck has posted a solid 2.68 ERA in 37.0 innings of work this season. Baneck is picking up right where she left off after dominating the past two seasons, setting a career-best 2.70 ERA in 2021 before following it up with a 3.02 ERA last season. She has held opponents to a suffocating .181 average.
NEW PHOENIX FACES
Green Bay officially welcomed Mary Bean as an assistant coach on January 25. The Phoenix also welcomes 10 newcomers to the squad in 2023.
