GREEN BAY, Wis. – The start of the college softball season is under a month away, and the Green Bay softball team and head coach Sara Kubuske have announced the full 2025 schedule. Green Bay will start the season at the Rosemont Tournament in Rosemont, Illinois from February 7-9.
 
Head coach Sara Kubuske enters her sixth season at the helm of the Phoenix and will look to guide the green and white back to the Horizon League Tournament after a one-year absence. Green Bay had made the postseason tournament in 2022 and 2023.
 
The Phoenix will have a new-looking roster for the 2025 season, welcoming 13 newcomers to go along with their 13 returners. The new Phoenix consists of eight freshmen and five transfers.
 
"We are looking forward to the 2025 slate and the opportunities presented," Kubuske said. "Between a combination of 13 new faces, three players returning from medical redshirts, and some young players who got experience last year, I look forward to seeing how we embrace each challenge. I believe our non-conference portion will prepare us well for the Horizon League and I am looking forward to getting underway with this group!"
 
Last season the Phoenix finished with a 9-38 record, and 5-19 HL record, finishing ninth in the Horizon League. Two players that highlight the Phoenix returners are senior outfielder Bella Herman and junior third baseman Paige Hanson. Last year, Herman led the team with with a .303 batting average, 43 hits, 16 runs, four doubles, two triples, 16 RBIs, and 51 total bases. Hanson, the 2023 Horizon League Freshman of the Year and All-League First Teamer will also be a mainstay in 2025.
