FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Genesis Eggart pitched her third complete game shutout in two weeks to lead the Green Bay softball team over the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons, 2-0. The win puts the Phoenix in a commanding position to secure a spot at the Horizon League Championships tomorrow.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
Mastodons' starting pitcher Alanah Jones matched Eggart in the first three innings, shutting the Green Bay offense down. However, the Phoenix broke the tie in the top of the fourth after Brooke Schwall doubled to center field to score Jenna Redders.

Â
Eggart got her tenth win of the season in the circle. The lefty went seven innings, allowing just three hits while striking out nine.
Â
Schwall led GB at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored. The other Phoenix to finish with a hit were Kendal Herschbach, Grace Kahr, and Jenna Redders.
