HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. -- The Green Bay men's soccer team secured its third consecutive shutout victory on Saturday evening, defeating Northern Kentucky 1-0. Keegan Walker scored the lone goal of the match, his first of the season, in the 64th minute.

The Phoenix improved to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in Horizon League play, earning three points in the league standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Green Bay's defense stood strong in the first half, not allowing a single shot.

Despite being outshot by the Norse 10-5, the Phoenix struck when it mattered most in the 64th minute. Walker received the ball on the left side of the field and cut in on his right foot, unleashing a shot from outside the box and finding the back of the net to break the deadlock. Nathan Moua had the assist on the goal.

Northern Kentucky's James Maxwell nearly tied the game in the 65th minute, but Phoenix goalkeeper Phillip Oesterbaek made a key save. The GB defense did not allow a shot on goal for the remainder of the match.
