CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The Green Bay women's swimming and
diving team picked up a win over host school Northern Iowa (234.5-64.5), but
fell short against Iowa State (185-113) Saturday afternoon. The Phoenix is now
10-1 heading into its winter training trip.
Junior Shannon Demrow (Algonquin, Ill.) was a two-time
winner for the Phoenix women, taking the 200-yard butterfly in 2:10.06 and the
500 freestyle in 5:09.53. Sophomore Amber Bartholomew (Alexandria, Minn.) also
picked up a victory on the afternoon, winning the 200 IM in 2:11.37.
Senior Lauren McGraw (Woodbury, Minn.) earned a pair of
second-place finishes in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, scoring 263.35
on the low board and 276.70 in the 3-meter event.
The Green Bay men's and women's swimming and diving teams
are off from competition until Jan. 16 when they host UIC at the Dorschel
Natatorium.
