MADISON - The Green Bay men's and women's swimming and diving teams each suffered losses on the road Saturday afternoon at in-state rival Wisconsin at the UW Natatorium. The Phoenix women fell 197-103 to move to 11-2 in dual meets this season, while the men's squad dropped a 189.5-108.5 decision to fall to 6-4.
Senior
Alex Hill (Lakeville, Minn.) picked up the lone victory for the Green Bay men's squad, taking the 500-yard freestyle in 4:40.01. Hill also earned a second place finish in the 200 free (1:43.30) and helped Green Bay's 200 free relay team to a runner up finish in 1:25.14.
On the women's side, senior
Lauren McGraw earned a win in the 3-meter diving competition with a score of 273.23. McGraw edged out Wisconsin freshman Roxanne Fitter by two points. On the 1-meter board, the Phoenix senior placed second behind Fitter with a score of 252.90.
The Green Bay men's squad is back in action at home next Friday when it plays host to Illinois Tech. The women's team is on the road next Saturday when it travels to Illinois State.
