MILWAUKEE - The Green Bay men's tennis team's record stands at 3-4 after edging Bradley by a 4-3 score on Sunday afternoon. The Phoenix battled back from a 3-2 deficit to pick up the victory and snap a three-match losing streak.

With Green Bay trailing 3-2, the final two Phoenix competitors, Marko Skoric (Zagreb, Croatia) and Josh Oothoudt (Minot, N.D.), regrouped after first-set losses to lead the squad to a victory. Skoric's win at No. 5 was 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, while Oothoudt came away with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 result in the fourth spot.

Green Bay was swept in its three doubles matches, which forced the team to win four of the six singles contests. The bottom of the order keyed the win, as Green Bay claimed the fourth, fifth and sixth spots and Paul Swanson (Coon Rapids, Minn.) dominated at No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-3).

Gilles Cornelis (Antwerpen, Belgium) was the winner at No. 6 for Green Bay. He had a close straight-sets win (7-6 [4], 7-5).

"This was a great team win today," head coach Mark Thomas said. "We didn't play very well in doubles and had a slow start in singles, but found a way to win when the match was on the line. I was very impressed with two of our young players (Marko and Josh) who each came back from a set down to pull out victories."

Green Bay has three matches this week, beginning Friday against Niagara in Fort Wayne, Ind.
