CHICAGO - Green
Bay suffered its second straight sweep on the road, falling 7-0 at DePaul in men's tennis action on
Saturday night in Chicago.
Green Bay's
lone win came at the No. 2 doubles spot, as Paul Swanson (Coon Rapids, Minn.)
and Josh Oothoudt (Minot, N.D.) claimed a thrilling 9-7 victory over Alasdair
Graetz and Douglas Perrin. However, the Blue Demons won at No. 1 (8-6) and No.
3 (8-3) to earn the doubles point.
DePaul
rolled through the singles competition, winning all six matches in straight
sets. Fabian Gogolin (Cologne, Germany) had the most competitive match, falling
6-3, 7-5 at No. 3.
Green Bay is
now 2-3 on the season. The Phoenix continues play Friday night at Marquette.
