GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - The Green Bay men's tennis team (3-1) picked up its third consecutive victory Saturday afternoon, defeating Bradley 6-1 at Western Racquet and Fitness Club.

"Our guys stepped up to the challenge today," Phoenix head coach Mark Thomas said. "I was very impressed by the energy and enthusiasm we competed with as a team. Bradley is a much improved team and is extremely talented. Our victory was well-earned and our goal is to continue to increase our level of play in each match."

Defending Horizon League Player of the Week Craig Cox (Surrey, England) remained unbeaten on the year in both doubles (4-0) and singles (4-0), as the junior teamed up with classmate Erik Finkenbrink (Duelman, Germany) for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles before cruising to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles over Bradley's Michael Davis. Finkenbrink also won his No. 1 singles match, defeating the Braves' Juan Cuadrado 6-1, 6-4.

Freshmen Felix Goepper (Seelbach, Germany) and Michael Tenzer (Neuried, Germany) were also two-time winners for the Phoenix on Saturday. The German duo picked up an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles before Goepper beat BU's Hamish Weerasinghe at No. 3 singles (6-1, 7-5) and Tenzer defeated Ashton Kalhom at No. 2 (6-1, 6-3).

Saturday marked the second match of a three-day, three-match home stand for the Phoenix, which blanked Michigan Tech 7-0 in its home opener on Friday night. Green Bay is back in action Sunday morning for a 10 a.m. meeting with Carleton College at Western Racquet and Fitness Club.
