Men's Soccer Set for Home Match vs. Leathernecks

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Green Bay men's soccer will wrap-up a two-match home stand Sunday when it welcomes the Fighting Leathernecks of Western Illinois to Aldo Santaga Stadium at 1 p.m.

Green Bay (1-1-0) is coming off a 1-0 home victory over Drake on Aug. 30. Western Illinois (0-3-0) is winless to start the season with two of its losses coming to Horizon League foes Oakland and Valparaiso.

CELEBRATING 50 YEARS

In honor of the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay celebrating five decades of existence, the Green Bay Athletics Department has decided to make all Green Bay soccer home matches free of charge. The previous cost of $7 has been waived for the entire 2015 soccer season (excluding postseason) and Phoenix fans are encouraged to visit Aldo Santaga Stadium this season to cheer on their hometown teams.

PUTTING UP THE WALL

Junior goal keeper Kyle Ihn (Wales, Wis.), has played every minute in-goal for Green Bay head coach Jeremy Bonomo in 2015. Ihn has allowed one goal while racking up 15 saves, good enough for a 93.8 save percentage. The Phoenix junior secured his first shutout of the season in Green Bay's win over Drake.
