GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Green Bay men's tennis started strong and never looked back in a 5-2 win over Horizon League foe Wright State
on Saturday afternoon.
Wright State equaled things up by taking No. 4 singles 6-4, 6-4.
Kraenzler was impressive at No. 1 singles, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Schramm was equally strong at No. 3 singles, claiming a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
Freshman Radomirovic battled in two very tight sets at No. 6 singles, eventually winning 7-5,7-5, clinching the fourth point for Green Bay and therefore, the first conference win for the Phoenix this season.
With the match already being clinched, sophomore Ridout prevailed in a tight match at No. 5 singles, winning 6-3, 6-7, 7-5.
In the last match on court, WSU took No. 2 singles with a very close match by the score of 2-6, 7-6, 7-6.
Green Bay improved to 1-0 in conference play in 2017. The Phoenix will have a very quick turnaround when Green Bay will face Northern Kentucky on Sunday morning at 10am at Western Racquet Club.
