SOUTH BEND, Ind. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's tennis team qualified four players for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional Championships, competing last week at Notre Dame. The Phoenix saw success at the elite invitational, advancing both a singles player and a doubles team in each of their respective tournaments.

Newcomer and junior
Lachlan Napier was the sole individual player to move on from the first round in the singles tournament, defeating Jonas Ken Suzuki from Horizon League foe Youngstown State handily, 6-4, 3-0. In the next round, Napier fell to a Western Michigan player 6-2, 6-0.
In the doubles tournament, the pair of seniors
Charlie Croxford and
Miles McDowall also advanced, taking down a Marquette duo 8-2. The team was matched up against a Big Ten school pairing in the next round, battling Northwestern players, but they were eventually eliminated 8-3.

The Green Bay men's tennis team will tackle one last invitational during the fall season, traveling to Normal, Illinois for the Illinois State Fall Invite. The competition will last from Friday, November 2 until Sunday, November 4.
