CHENEY, Wash. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Green Bay buried a season-high 13 3-pointers and JayQuan McCloud scored a career-high 23 points against Morehead State on Saturday afternoon, as the Phoenix cruised to an 87-70 victory in the Championship Game of the 2K Empire Classic Subregional at Eastern Washington University. McCloud was named Subregional MVP for his outstanding weekend, as the sharp-shooting guard averaged 22.0 PPG in his team's two victories. ShanQuan Hemphill was also named to the All-Tournament Team, after scoring another 17 points in today's win.
 
Green Bay (3-2) was on fire from beyond the arc, knocking down a season-high 13 3s on just 25 attempts. Four players finished in double-figures, led by McCloud's 23 off the bench. Hemphill added 17 points, his third double-figure scoring effort of the season, while Cody Schwartz finished with 13 points. Schwartz also scored 18 on Friday night, converting on three more 3s against Morehead State after hitting four against Eastern Washington.

Now a perfect 2-0 on its Pacific Northwest road swing, GB will travel down the coast to Eugene, Ore., for a tall-task order of facing Oregon in its next  road game. GB will visit the 13th-ranked Ducks on Tuesday night for a 9 p.m. CT / 7 p.m. PT tip in its final game of the 2K Empire Classic. Oregon finished 3rd at the 2K Empire Classic in New York City this past weekend.
