GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's tennis team collected their third-straight Horizon League match of the season today, taking down Wright State (12-8, 2-2 HL) in a close 4-3 match.
Again, the Phoenix beat their opponents thanks to a strong run in singles action, taking four of the six competitions despite the doubles point going to the Raiders.
"Overall it was a great weekend for the men," head coach
Tim Dean said. We had a couple guys wake up not feeling well and our team stepped up to the occasion.
Charlie Ridout stepped in last minute at 6 singles and played great tennis earning his first singles win of the season in style going 6-0, 6-0. I'm really excited to see Ridout getting healthy and playing again."

Charlie Croxford clinched the match for us by playing smart high percentage tennis. He stayed positive, gave all his effort, and deserved the clinch today. I'm proud of the way the men handled everything from long travel to illness. We will try to harness this energy and carry it into our next match."
Green Bay (9-9, 3-2 HL) will play at home next weekend, celebrating Senior Day on Saturday, April 14 against IUPUI at 1:00 p.m. The Phoenix will play their last home game of the season the next day against UIC at 11:30 a.m.
