GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Sandy Cohen III scored his 30th point in game-winning fashion on Saturday afternoon, going glass to beat the buzzer and cap a 16-point comeback for Green Bay in its 90-89 win over Cleveland State at the Resch Center. The Phoenix improves to a perfect 3-0 in Horizon League, getting a season-high 30 points from Cohen and 25 points from
JayQuan McCloud.
After trailing 86-75 with 3 minutes left, GB made its dramatic comeback by outscoring the Vikings (5-12, 0-4 HL) 15-3 to close out the game. CSU took a 1-point lead when it hit buried a 3-pointer from the corner, but Cohen and the Phoenix used the final 7 seconds to draw up the game-winner and send the team into celebratory pile.
The Phoenix will take its perfect league record to the Motor City next week, visiting Detroit Mercy (Jan. 10) and Oakland (Jan. 12).
