GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's tennis team (1-5) were unable to make a quick enough turnaround from one home match to the next away game this weekend, falling to Illinois State 6-1 despite some close sets.
Miles McDowall saw success in both portions of the game, picking up the sole point for the team at no. 4 singles in a comeback match (4-6, 7-6, 10-5) and teaming up with
James Ling to win at no. 1 doubles (7-6) as well.
Green Bay will continue to test their limits this upcoming week, playing four days straight. The Phoenix will begin by visiting Wisconsin on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. before return to Western Racquet on Friday at 11:30 a.m. to host Cardinal Stritch. The team will wrap up the weekend by taking on Butler and Northern Illinois on the road.
