INDIANAPOLIS (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Looking to continue its stranglehold on the lone No. 3 spot in the Horizon League standings, Green Bay came up short on the road at IUPUI on Sunday afternoon, falling 79-68 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
The Phoenix (9-7 HL, 15-14) led by two at the half, but a couple of IUPUI (8-8 HL, 16-13) runs and an 11-for-20 shooting effort from 3-point range was the difference. GB now moves into a tie with Oakland for the No. 3 seed at 9-7 in league play with two games to go.
The final two games of the regular season will take place at home at the Resch Center on Thursday (Feb. 28) and Saturday (Mar. 2), against Wright State and Northern Kentucky. Thursday will be Dave Buss bobblehead giveaway night, and Saturday will be senior day with the program honoring
