INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Green Bay men's and women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the three-day House of Champions event at IUPUI Saturday afternoon.
The Phoenix men finished sixth with 725 points and the women took seventh with 573 points.
MEN
The Green Bay men started strong with a fourth-place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay.
Jeremiah Mansavage,
Ethan Braatz,
Max Kasal, and
Rafe Dolan Peterson touched the wall in 1:22.22.
The quartet of Mansavage,
Sebastian Smolecki, Dolan Peterson, and Kasal finished the 400 yard medley relay in fourth place with a final time of 3:22.02.
Mansavage, Smolecki, Dolan Peterson, and Braatz came in third in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:31.64.
Smolecki won the consolation final in the 400 yard IM with a time a strong finals time of 4:05.29. Kasal won the consolation final in the 200 yard freestyle with a 1:41.20.
Mansavage raced in the 100 yard backstroke final, finishing in eighth with a finals time of 51.24.
Sebastian Smolecki also won the consolation final in the 200 yard breaststroke with a finals time of 2:03.48.
Burnard finished second in the consolation final in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:55.33.
Miles Rohrbaugh had a solid showing on the diving board, finished fifth in the 3-meter with a finals score of 295.88. He also finished fifth in the 1-meter with 294.05 points.
WOMEN
McKenna Metropulos,
Faith Eilertson,
Alli Misialek, and
Kaleigh Gale finished seventh in the 200 yard freestyle relay, touching the wall in 1:39.21.
Esther Oswald, Eilertson, Misialek, and Metropulos also finished seventh in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 3:54.42.
Oswald, Eilertson,
Caroline Rupp, and Metropulos came in sixth place in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:46.12.
Metropulos was strong in the 100 yard butterfly, finishing 15
th with a time of 1:00.89.
Katherine Fisher finished 11
th in the 400 yard IM with a finals time of 4:37.17.
Ella Anderson also finished in 11
th in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.74.
Gale finished 14
th in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.81.
Oswald was the consolation runner up in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 58.43.
The team of
Alexa Kelly, Fisher, Oswald, and Gale came in sixth in the 800 yard freestyle relay with a final time of 7:55.12.
Anderson finished fifth in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:25.23.
UP NEXT
The Phoenix swimmers won't compete again until they travel to Northern Michigan on January 20. The divers will host the Green Bay Diving Invitational at Peter F. Dorschel Natatorium on December 9.
