MADISON, Wis. - Green Bay swimming and diving fell short to the 17th-ranked Badgers Friday evening. The men came up short 176-73, while the women dropped the contest 192-95.

MEN
Sebby Smolecki paced the Phoenix with a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 56.29. HIs brother Alex was right behind him, completing the race in 56.62.
In the 100-yard buttefly,
Max Kasal was atop the leaderboard with a time of 49.87.
The group of
Rafe Dolan Peterson,
Ethan Braatz, Kasal, and Jerry Mansavage led the way in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:23.86. They won the competition by exaclty four seconds in front of the second-place group.
WOMEN
Green Bay dominated the 100-yard breaststroke with the top-5 finishers representing the Green & White.
Ella Anderson (1:06.64),
Faith Eilertson (1:07.70),
Lauren Klawiter (1:11.81),
Isabelle Houseman (1:13.30), and
Kelsey Thurin (1:13.52) all placed for the Phoenix.
Esther Oswald completed the 200-yard backstroke in second place with a time of 2:11.83.
Alli Misialek wasn't far behind, notching a third-place finish with a time of 2:11.86.
The Green Bay women finished the evening out with top finishes in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
McKenna Metropulos,
Sofia Orellana, Eilertson, and
Kaleigh Gale completed the competition first with a time of 1:40.30.
Nellie Sherrick, Oswald,
Betsey Walkowiak, and Misialek finished second with a time of 1:44.39.Â
COMING UP
Green Bay will travel down I-94 to face UIC in the UIC Diving Invitational tomorrow. The meet will be the final of the regular season. The Horizon League Championships are scheduled to begin February 15.
