INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Green Bay swimming and diving teams concluded the 2023-24 season Saturday night on the final day of the #HLSD Championships.
Esther Oswald began the night by cracking a 10th-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke, timing out at 2:05.35. Later in the meet, Alexa Kelly placed 11th in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:09.17. She had a lifetime best in the mile with a time of 17:42.23. Carly Zaprzal and Ella Anderson had a good outing in the 200-yard breaststroke, clocking in at 2:28.07 and 2:25.89, respectively.
For the men, Calvin Kremer took 15th in the 200-yard backstroke, posting a time of 1:51.59, just outside the top-10 in program history. Max Kasal capped off a dominant Championship week, placing second in the 100-yard freestyle. His time of 43.47 is a new program record by nearly 2/10ths of a second and qualified for NCAA B standards. Alex and Sebby Smolecki took 12th and 10th, respectively, in the 200-yard breaststroke. The brothers' times were separated by just over two seconds, with the former claiming 10th place.Green Bay Swimming and Diving would like to thank all 11 seniors (six women and five men) for their contributions to the program and wish them the best.
