BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Green Bay softball team split a pair of games on the road at Bowling Green on Tuesday, falling 6-1 in game one before securing a 3-2 win in game two.
Genesis Eggart pitched a complete game in game two, striking out 11 while allowing just four hits and two runs.
GAME 1 | Bowling Green 6, Green Bay 1
After falling behind 1-0 early, Green Bay tied the game up in the top of the second inning thanks to an Evelyn Wolfgram single that scored Paige Hanson. That tie didn't hold for long, as the Falcons took a 2-1 advantage in the third and extended it to 4-1 in the fourth.
Bowling Green scored two more in the bottom of the sixth and shut out the Phoenix offense in the top of the seventh to secure the win.
Sophomore Ava Schill (1-4) started and took the loss in the circle for Green Bay. Mackenzie Krafcik pitched a complete game and got the win for Bowling Green.

» Green Bay was outhit by Bowling Green 10-5.
» Sidney LaMotte led the Phoenix at the plate, going 1-for-1. Paige Hanson finished 1-for-2 with a run scored.
» Bowling Green was led offensively by Addie Martin, who went 4-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI.
GAME 2 | Green Bay 3, Bowling Green 2
As mentioned, Eggart was dominant in game two, punching out 11 Bowling Green hitters over seven innings of work to help lead the Green Bay Phoenix past the Falcons 3-2.
At the plate, the Phoenix was led by Ava Schill, who gave Green Bay the lead with a pinch-hit two-RBI single in the top of the sixth inning. Gianna Camacho then followed that up with an RBI single to give GB a 3-1 lead.
The Falcons were able to put some pressure on the Phoenix in the bottom of the seventh, bringing home a run and making it 3-2 before Eggart forced the next Bowling Green hitter to foul out and end the game.
