MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Green Bay Nordic Ski team competed at the CCSA Conference Championships this past weekend at Theodore Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Phoenix finished fourth with 45 points in the 10K Classic Mass Start and third in the 10K Skate Individual Start with 60 points.
Cameron Cruickshank led the Phoenix in the Classic Mass Start on Saturday, finishing 10th with a time of 26:29.9.
Ivar Dragerengen was the next Phoenix to cross the finish, coming in 13th with a time of 26:47.1.
Noah Erickson and
Cole Mirek wrapped up the top four for Green Bay, finishing 15th and 16th with times of 27:07.7 and 27:08.0, respectively.
Three Phoenix women finished in the top 20 on Saturday, led by
Jenna Johnson's 16th-place finish in 33:29.6.
Lizzie Sonnefelt finished 18th with a 33:46.5, and
Lilly Franzen finished 20th with a 33:56.5.
Cruickshank also led the Phoenix men on Sunday, finishing the 10K Skate Individual Start with a time of 23:30.4. Two others finished in the top 15 for Green Bay. Erickson finished the race 11th in 24:11.3, while
Zaine Braaten finished 13th in 24:15.6.
The women were led on Sunday by a ninth-place finish from Sonnefelt, who crossed the finish in 26:48.4. Franzen was the second Phoenix across the finish in 12th, and
Silje Busklein third, coming in 18th. Franzen had a time of 27:11.4 while Busklein had a 28:02.7.
