GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Green Bay women's tennis team came up on the short end
of a 7-0 score Sunday morning against UIC. The Phoenix had won its last two
matches, including its first league match, heading into the day.
Green Bay was unable to take a set during the match. The closest singles
contest came at No. 3, where Morgan Weuve (Green Bay, Wis.) dropped a 7-5, 6-4
decision to Kristen McPhillips.
The tightest doubles match was at the top spot, as Lauryn Grimando (Oak
Brook, Ill.) and Emily Lawent (Milwaukee, Wis.) fell by an 8-6 score.
Green Bay is now 4-9 on the year and 1-1 in Horizon League action. The
Phoenix is next in action at Cleveland State Saturday morning.
