GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay women's tennis team (2-15) welcomed Cleveland State to Western Racquet in Green Bay, Wis., this evening for a Horizon League match. The Vikings played well in both singles and doubles, defeating the Phoenix 7-0.
Cleveland State garnered the doubles point after victories on both the No. 1 and No. 3 courts, followed by victories on all six singles courts.
Olivia Headford was the closest Phoenix to collecting a point, winning the first set 6-3 before falling 6-0 in the second set to force a tiebreaker. Headford was unable to regain momentum in the tiebreaker set, falling to CSU's Folkens 10-4 in a tiebreak.
The Phoenix continues Horizon League play tomorrow afternoon against Youngstown State with a match at 2 p.m.
