BOARDMAN, Ohio (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay women's tennis team fell 7-0 in the second game of the weekend against hosts Youngstown State (8-9, 2-0 HL). While the Phoenix did not earn any team points, sophomore
Theresa Tebon had the closest match in the number one singles position.
Head coach
Tim Dean remarked, "Our women played with a lot of heart today, but it just wasn't enough. Youngstown's team is solid. The doubles matches are always close, and it's hard to rebound mentally after taking so many close losses in doubles this year. Our team will benefit from these closes matches eventually. For now, we need to focus on things under our control, and that will help us turn the page."
Green Bay (1-7, 0-2 HL) will spend the next weekend of matches at home. They are set to play against Detroit Mercy this upcoming Saturday, March 31 at 5:00 p.m. CT.
