With one full day left, the men are in a tight three-way battle for third place, while the women have moved up to fifth out of seven teams. Full results from day three can be found

100 Butterfly
Anna Liu was back up on the podium again for the Phoenix to begin the evening, smashing the women's longest-standing school record in the process. The sophomore posted a 54.83 to break it by approximately a tenth in prelims, then lowered it to 54.44 at night to earn third place overall. In the B final, junior
Claire Stuart moved up to take 12th place and a lifetime-best 56.82 for her first time under the 57-second mark.
The men also had a strong showing in this event, with sophomore
Ben Redman and junior
Riley Darling both taking to the medal stand. Redman touched the wall in fourth with a time of 48.64, only three one-hundredths of a second off the Green Bay record. Darling took 8th in the A final with a respectable 49.53, while sophomore
Paul Sadergaski also represented the team in the B final with a 49.85, good for 14th place.
400 IM
Daniel Frederick brought home another fourth-place finish after a fiery final 50. The freshman stopped the clock at a personal-best 3:57.90 in the A final. Classmate
Xabier Carneiro broke the four-minute mark for the first time to win the B heat in a quick 3:59.79, while sophomore
Ari Kissel showed some outside smoke by moving up to 11th in 4:02.76. For the women,
Ciana Fragnito and
Annika Engstrom threw down in the B final, both dropping their times from their morning swims. The freshman claimed 11th with a time of 4:29.57, while the senior came away with 13th in a lifetime-best 4:31.20.
200 Freestyle
Senior
Rosalyn Stoa burst into an A final for the first time in her collegiate career, placing 6th with a time of 1:51.76 in her last 200 ever. For the men, senior
Manny Hernandez muscled his way to a lifetime-best 1:40.15, good for 10th, while sophomore
Reagan Ragsdale rounded out the B heat in 1:42.76.
100 Breaststroke
The men amassed several team points thanks to the efforts of the Green Bay breaststrokers. Sophomore
Max Boehnlein led the way, collecting his third-place hardware from his best-ever 55.27. Also in the A heat, junior
Garrett Spencer shaved nearly a second off of his previous personal best, placing 6th in 55.69. Freshman
Conner Funke made waves in the B final, winning it with a best time of 55.46, and breaking Boehnlein's freshman record by less than a tenth of a second in the process. In addition, sophomore
James Finley posted a 57.31 for 16th.
Sophomore
Malynn Tarczewski not only qualified for her first final ever, but made her way into the A heat in the race. The sophomore placed 7th with a 1:04.44, while junior
Clare Martell was a consistent force in the B final, posting a time of 1:05.59 for 14th.
100 Backstroke
Helena Heuberger was the star of the backstrokers today, racing to a 6th place finish with her 55.95. Meanwhile,
Katie Nagler was strong in her last 100 backstroke, recording a lifetime-best 57.32 for 15th. On the men's side,
Charlie Warren was also the epitome of "go big or go home" in his last race of this event, winning the B final with a 49.41, a best time by one one-hundredth. Freshman
Ray Cronin rounded out the heat in the first final of his short career, touching the wall at 51.77.
Men's 1-Meter Board
Once again, each of the men's divers competing for points were able to advance into the consolation final, led by
Miles Rohrbaugh, who was less than nine points away from qualifying for the A flight. The freshman finished with the highest point total out of the group, placing 11th with a score of 263.50. The junior duo of
Josh Yahr and
Derrick Prenot rounded out consols, earning 230.45 points for 15th and 199.40 points for 16th, respectively.
"Overall it was a good effort today," said diving coach
Tom Stover. "Miles really stood out with several great dives, plus he was very consistent from prelims to consolations."
400 Medley Relay
Both sides of the roster came away with fourth-place finishes in the final event of the evening. The women's team of Heuberger, Tarczewski, Liu, and Stoa dropped three seconds from their seed time to post a time of 3:45.63, approximately a second off of the school record. Not only did they also cut off three seconds from last year's results and move up a spot, but they also defeated in-state rival Milwaukee Panthers handily. The squad of Warren, Boehnlein, Darling, and Redman turned in a time of 3:18.00, just thirty-two hundredths of a second behind third and less than a second off of the school record as well.
Green Bay has one more day of competition tomorrow, taking on the 1650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, women's 3-meter board, and 400 freestyle relay. Continue to follow the Phoenix by using the Meet Mobile app and streaming finals on ESPN3.
