GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Green Bay Phoenix Nordic Ski team announced on Friday the return of
Declan Rodefeld as a graduate assistant for the 2025-26 season. Rodefeld will be managing much of the team's fundraising campaign, organizing Green Bay's home meet, the Ariens Nordic Invite. He will also have a large hand in operations, including travel logistics and team management.
"I am very excited to have Declan as a graduate assistant," said Head Coach
Sam Myers. "As a recent graduate, he knows the program well and how the team operates. He will be a huge help in day-to-day management, training sessions, and race weekend coaching and waxing. Declan has built great relationships with all the student-athletes and has a positive impact on team culture."
Rodefeld spent the past four seasons as a member of the Phoenix Nordic ski team before graduating last spring with a Bachelor's degree in Information Science and a Master's degree in Data Science.
As a skier at Green Bay, Rodefeld's best finish came in the Skate Mass Start 20k at the 2025 NCAA Central Regional Championships where he finished 23
rd. Rodefeld is a Blaine, Minnesota native.
The Phoenix will start its season in a little less than two months when they travel to Marquette, Michigan for the NMU Opener at Al Quaal on Dec. 6-7.
